I just put out a new update for Rill the Otter!

This one has been in the works since about June, and part of it might've come out earlier, but I was busy on vacation for around 2 weeks and couldn't quite work on it then.

Firstly, the most obvious change is the new character, Aquents the Frog. I had to remove the previous character, Flynn the Fox, due to me and my former Partner breaking up. And since they designed the chracater of Flynn, and everything around him, I obviously didn't want any of that shit in my game anymore, so he got the boot.

And so I created Aquents! Another character right off of my dome. I'm really happy with how she turned out, and I think she works really well alongside Rill.

The harder to notice change is that I slightly edited Tanic's sprites, to give his spines a more laid-back look, and an overall rounder eye shape, as well as updated some of the lower effort sprites i.e. climbing. I did this, as well as updating the shading, to bring him up to snuff with the other two in quality.

Finally, I updated the menu music, as I personally think this music works better than the previous piece.

As a final note, I need to say that I'm probably not gonna work on anything substantial for Rill anymore. Believe it or not, This one level is all I'm probably gonna get out of myself for another few years. I know I designed a whole story, and location, and all that, but I realistically can't make any of this. I barely have any game developing knowledge, and my ideas are far too ambitious. I have since decided to draw out the story as a comic book, and will upload it online, on my profiles or as a link in the description of the game to download.

I am thinking on making seasonal skins of Rill, that may get released a week or two before holidays like Christmas and Halloween, but I'll need to have a better think about it.

After nearly a whole year since the last "release" over on Itch.io, Rill The Otter has a new Demo here on Newgrounds! I'm so unbelievably happy to finally get the game working on here! It's been a dream to host my crappy little game on this site since I begun thinking of the first ideas, where I envisioned it being playable on it's very own Newgrounds page. Here we are, roughly 2 years later, and it's pretty much there!

As I'm sure you've noticed, a lot has changed from the 2023 Release. Many changes such as:

• A new engine
• Trixs being quietly being removed and replaced with a New Character, Flynn
• Updated character Sprites
• New Enemies
• New Story
• New Stage (that fits in with the story)
• New Music

And more, that I may have forgotten. now, please enjoy the game and rate it if you'd like!

I’ve been working on quite a huge project for a while now, thought I’d talk about it here first. I’m currently working on a game about my very own cringe sonic OC (do not steal), Rill The Otter! It’s basically a sonic clone, which I’m kinda sad about. Was thinking on making him slow, like silver, But I digress. Currently, 2 games are development(?), ballooning out from the 1 we had planned out at the start. One is gonna be a short, 2D adventure, starring the otter and his best friend (not gay, don’t ship them please), Trixs The Bobcat. As of now, that game is the furthest along in development, so expect that one in the next year or so. The next game to release is a cheap little game starring exclusively Trixs, as he saves villagers from a massive tree overrun by spiders, or something. It’s gonna be proper simple, like doodle jump except you have to be careful not to hit the spiders. That’s basically where we’re at right now, so stay tuned for more info that probably won’t come out until the game releases!

I’ve been getting a lot of emails about kawaiisprite uploading songs, and I’ve had enough of them and came to update my profile and upload all of my art here!

as well, I updated my profile picture and finished setting things up here, like where I reside, my gender, and things like that.
